VDLA, as prime consultant to KB Home Coastal, Inc. provided recreational master planning, landscape architectural design, and construction documents for a new 6.2-acre park and 8.5-acre greenbelt passive recreation area within a new master planned community development   located in French Valley in Murrieta, CA. The amenities in this park include an off-leash dog park, baseball field, multi-purpose/soccer field, picnic areas with shade structures and BBQ grills, a tot lot for 2-5 and 5-12 age groups, two half basketball courts, restroom/concession building, and open lawn areas for passive play. The design scheme includes drought tolerant plants and a recycled water irrigation system. This is a turnkey park that will be operated and maintained by ValleyWide Recreation and Park District.
