Cymer Campus

VDLA was responsible for the landscape and hardscape development for the Cymer campus in the Rancho Bernardo area of San Diego, CA. VDLA developed the theme and final design for exterior areas at the campus which contains manufacturing facilities, classroom/training facilities, multiple office buildings, two parking structures, and corporate event areas. The design incorporates pedestrian pathways that connect different parts of the campus to the amenity spaces, which include an amphitheater, main vehicular and pedestrian entries and arrival courts, entry/outdoor patio hardscape areas, a cafe courtyard, employee recreation facilities such as volleyball and basketball courts. At night, a fiber optic light within one of the plazas represents a laser, symbolic of Cymer’s use of lasers in manufacturing.
