Summerwind Ranch Trails

VDLA prepared the master plan, design guidelines, and has completed portions of construction documents for a comprehensive trail system to connect residential neighborhoods to parks, schools, open space, and the Town Center. VDLA led the planning and agency approval process for 6.5 miles of equestrian trails, 2.5 miles of hiking trails, and 9.1 miles of pedestrian and bicycle “paseo” trails that traverse the community and the 1,493 acres of natural open space. VDLA also prepared the master plan for the Nature Park community, which is centrally located on approximately 14.8 acres. The nature park will provide the residents the opportunity to walk through natural areas such as a native plant garden, scenic overlooks, non-irrigated meadows, and oak groves. The nature park also contains amenities such as picnic areas, a parking area, information kiosks, and pedestrian trails.
